Bush on Iraq--Standing Bull

I watched George Bush give a news conference about the latest on the war.  The revelation included needing 100 billion more dollars to fight the war. Standing while he delivered this bad news I thought: Standing Bull no less.  I see him as Sitting Bull the famous Indian warrior. He loved wars and loved to fight. Is this our current president? I am afraid that is whom we have elected George "Sitting Bull" Bush.

Over the past three years, I have tried not to listen to the news of this war, or any war for that matter. I tried not to hear how many soldiers or civilians were basically murdered or tortured. I hate torture or even hearing about it. How many have died all together?  But  the news has been not only bad but relentless in its selling to the American public. If this war is not a failure, then what the hell does failure look like? Can we be sure this is not just more Bush Bull? We can't be sure of anything except that we are being sold down the river like field slaves that tried to escape without the proper papers.

Bush will no doubt go down in history as the world's worst leader and America's worst president. It was planned that way. Nothing is by accident, all is by design. This is the big mirror that white people, and black people and brown people who are here will be reflecting on for a long time to come.

We've been had folks, end of story. Next war novel is about to be written.  There is no easy way to say that Bush has been bullish on this damn war and we have been its economic victims. Everyone sitting at home listening to the Bush bull on Iraq is part of this web of monetary deceit. Before I discovered I had been one of the presidents I used to have dark thoughts that the government was just one big conspiracy theory. That there were things about America that we could never, and would never know. I mean with 100 billion dollars we could start this entire government over from scratch! That's not a bad idea given the way that  things are going.

Will the future hold less power for Washington, D.C.? Will this president bring down America along with Iraq? Tanglelizing and tantalizing as this thought may be it is possible. People are predicting economic collapse for the world or for this country. But did they see it in the form of government gone crazy?  A president who has sounded the gong of war, is not likely to silence it. Why are we so silent? I wonder.

Did we need to go in and clean up Iraq's house of horrors without a second thought? Did we need to use top-ranking black politicians to do it? Have the people of this country ever been convinced that this was the right thing to do? I don't think so.

Bush and this country are still standing, fighting, running, chasing and sitting over there in Iraq. We are sitting bulls, I mean ducks.

And finally, someone asked me recently about my political persuasion at an Obama for president meeting. I told them then, that it can be revealed now why Bush became president. I put him in office for a reason. So, that it would be as huge mirror, as the Buddhists tell it, for him to reflect ourselves back to us. It is ugly beyond belief. Racism has gotten stronger, due to the dis-ease caused by the people's fear of itself and most of all of its government. Shame on us. This man is there so that we might change this country.
